1 small carrot
2 teaspoons coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon coconut flour
1 teaspoon lemon juice, optional
► What you will need: mixing bowl, fork, saucepan with lid and steamer, small tight-sealing storage container
1. To Make: Cut the carrot into chunks and place in a vegetable steamer. Steam on medium heat until soft enough to mash with a fork. Remove from heat. Place the carrots in your mixing bowl. Add the coconut oil and begin mashing them together. The coconut oil will melt with the heat of the carrot. Once well blended, add the coconut flour and blend to a uniform consistency. Add lemon juice if desired and stir well.
2. To Store: This mask is best fresh. Store in a closed container in the refrigerator and use within 4 days.
3. To Use: To use, spread a thick layer of the mask onto clean skin. Leave on skin 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Follow with toner and moisturizer. Use caution as carrot pulp may stain light-colored fabrics.
